Web Design and Development
Our websites are specifically designed for doctors and medical practices. Medical website design needs an understanding of the special needs of websites for doctors. The designs are clean, smart and professional. Websites have to comply with GMC guidelines and steer clear of any suggestion of advertising. The content has to be only factual representation of the doctor's practice.
How we do it
The design process includes three phases:
- Consultation and planning
- The design concept
- Website development
Consultation and Planning
The first phase of the development will be consultation and discussion with the client to establish the objectives of the website, the content and functions required and assess the size of the project. Issues such as hosting of the website, domain name registration and marketing strategies, if required, will also be addressed.
The Design Concept
At the start, three individual graphic designs concepts will be made for you to choose from. Your chosen design will be developed and revised as required until you are quite happy with it. If you have particular images you wish to incorporate in the design, you can send them either in a digital format or as prints.
MedWebs' websites are built meticulously to produce clean, well laid out and quick-loading pages. They are all hand-coded, to ensure clean code free of errors or distortions. Throughout development you will be able to monitor progress of your project and discuss any modifications you would like to see.
Website hosting and maintenance
Medwebs provide a copmrehensive service, and offer website hosting and domain name registration, if required. However, this is optional, and clients are free to buy hosting from another provider if they prefer.
Updating of the website is included, free of charge, with the Medwebs hosting package. This includes modification of text content, but does not include major changes, addition of new pages or modification of the graphic design or general layout of the website, which would be charged for at reasonable rates.
